PASSIONE

>PASSIONE<

Hello there bloggers, so this is my second post on my feed where i'll be sharing one of my interests which I use to entertain myself during my freetime. It's an art of self defence commonly known as Taekwondo.
Ever since i was young, i was forced by my mother to join a self-defence class which i actually used to give dumb reasons to my mother such as fever, too much of homeworks to not attend the classes. One reason why i hate to attend the classes is because, it's noisy and scary. I mean seriously it's scary. Leaving a 4 year old kid alone in a place surrounded by violent adults hurting each other, the sound of people crying in pain . Won't that scare a kid?
As much as possible, i  tried not to attend the classes but since my elder brother also attends the class, this poor child had no choice but to bury himself in that grave.

So yea, it all started when I was 4, trained by a group of professionals. Now i'm big enough to share some experiences and knowledges i learnt throughout my journey in this field.
Taekwondo is a korean martial art, characterized on his head-height kicks, fast kicking techniques and a real pain the....... uhh... body?? cuz of its spinning attacks. It was developed in the 1940s throughout korea and somehow spread throughout the world. It's a sport commonly to be seen during the olympics.

Taekwondo is sport which requires a very high level of discipline. We are forced to wear the proper attire, neat and clean and also maintain a decent look.

Taekwondo has many grades where people are grouped by their performances and experiences. A beginner starts off his journey with a white belt. As time passes by gaining more knowledge, the colour of the belt changes and finally reaches black which shows you've reached master, which means you're ready to teach others.

grading
Once a student has mastered a certain percentage of the learning, the student will be sent to an examination known as "grading" where 3 masters will examine your skills and knowledge to see if he/she  is eligable to go to the next level.

Next, one of the main highlights of this sport is "sparring". During this session , two fighters of the same age and weight category will be asked to participate in a combat without causing severe injuries to both fighters.( but nobody cares). Tournaments are organized throughout the world where players from differents clubs, states and countries are allowed to take part.
the main goal is to test the level of fighting skills the students possess and also to evaluate their patience, stamina and their spirit.
It is the main attraction in this sport. I mean it is a self defence sport. what is it without fighting right?

To possess more skills and strength, a students has to go through alot of trainings to master a higher standard of performances. This is achieved by trainings such as , physical training, weightlifting, practicing using equipments such as kicking pad, punching bag, ropes and many more.
So i guess that's it for now. hit yall up in my next post.
