hola!!! So this time will be a something that i kinda know about as an indian , a topic about , INDIANS PEOPLE AND THEIR CULTURE. Okay so we're Malaysians and i'm sure that most of you guys who'll be seeing this blog sorta know some things that i'm about to type right now. As an indian kid growing among cultured people around me, I learned some things throughout my childhood and teenage life . So let's get to it.
okay first let's start with indian traditional dresses.

SAREES |
sarees are commonly used by indian women which are an unstitched drape varying from 4.5 to 9 metres which are designed by saree makers using many colours to make em look attractive. Something unique about them are sarees can be draped over 100 ways.
Colours have their meanings. For eg: a red saree is used during weddings, yellow are worn for engaging in ascetic practices as well as during period following childbirth. A white saree is worn by a widow to represent mournings.
and also, it is one of the hardest thing to be worn on earth:/
JEWELLERIES

bangles |
bangles are commonly used by indian since ancient days.There are lots of websites states that indian women in olden days are more likely to do household chores while the men are sent to work in the paddy fields. Even though household chores are not an easy job to do, it is believed it is still not enough for an ordinary human to keep their body healthy. So bangles are worn .Normally the wrist portion is in constant activation on any human.The bangles used by women provides constant friction and pressure which helps to enhance blood circulation .
Besides that, women wear bangles to enhance their feminine grace and beauty .

JHUMKI |
Okay so next, earrings known as jhumki are worn by indian women. It is a traditional bell shaped earring which has it's hanging decorative elements and is loved for it's distinctive jingles.The various designs and colours represents the timeless beauty for women since ancient times.
MEHNDI
Now mehndi or henna is a paste associated with good luck and positive spirits. Indian women before the weddings are deeply coloured with mehndi on their hands to show prosperity and wellbeing for the bride as she makes her journey into her marriage life. It is also a symbol of fertility and people say that the longer it exists on the hands, the better the wellbeing . Besides, mehndi helps in cooling the nerves and and shields the nerves from tense.
WEDDINGS

Okay so getting to the scariest part in indian people's culture is THE WEDDINGS.It is the most valued moment for an indian because it is a step to great responsibility. I've heard rumours that indian weddings are one of the most expensive marital ceremony in the world . I mean yea,
goddammnit just look at the amount of jewelleries that aunty is wearing. It is also believed that it is the
biggest nightmare for a guy marrying according to the hindu culture. (sometimes indian girlfriends be like:
when we get married get me this get me that, do this, do that just gives me nightmares)
FOOD
getting to the traditional food, some are already known such as thosai idly chapatti poori and lots more
AGNi

lighting lamp is a symbol of truth , knowledge and understanding.It is believed that it eliminates all the negative vibes and replace them with positive vibes.Besides, it is also a symbol of hope to goddess RajaRajeswari ( combination of durga,lakshmi and saraswathi) . Hindus also place them in the entrance of their houses to show a sign of welcome and gratitude during special occasions and is believed to ensure happiness in the family.
